Summary
The efficacy of Ginkgo biloba extract in the treatment of cerebral disorders due to aging was tested in a multicenter study conducted in double-blind versus placebo, involving 166 patients.
In this study, conducted according to strict methodological conditions, a specially designed geriatric clinical evaluation scale was used. The results confirmed the efficacy of Ginkgo biloba extract in cerebral disorders due to aging. The difference between the control group and the treated group became significant by the third month and increased later on. This result was confirmed by the overall evaluation of the physician.
