Abstract

Perthes Disease (PD) is necrosis of the femoral head during childhood, and its etiology has not been well established. Although PD has been associated to transient synovitis [1], recent works are not in total agreement [2, 3]. According to previous reports, its incidence depends on the population studied and ranges between 4 and 26 per 100,000.
