Abstract

Our experience of surgical treatment of congenital absence of the vagina comprises 134 cases. We have used most of the technique described hitherto: (a) Frank’s nonsurgical method (8 cases); (b) cleavage surgery, either simple or completed by means of a prosthesis or skin grafts (21 cases); (c) transplantation of the intestine (34 cases); and (d) Vecchietti’s method (3 cases).
