Zusammenfassung
Die Häufigkeit von krankenhauserworbenen Infektionen bei stationären Patienten schwankt zwischen 4,4 und 10,4% [2, 10, 16, 20, 42]. In besonderem Maße betroffen sind Patienten auf Intensivpflegestationen, bei denen aufgrund der invasiven Maßnahmen und der Abwehrschwäche des Patienten das größte Risiko von nosokomialen Infektionen besteht. Die Sepsishäufigkeit wird in der Literatur mit 14% auf Allgemeinstationen und 21% auf Intensivpflegestationen [2, 10, 16, 18, 20, 29, 34, 35, 43, 46] angegeben.
