Abstract
The mean annual temperature distribution demonstrates gigantic thermal differences in China (Fig. 4.1). Most significantly, temperatures vary over space and produce a rather confusing picture of temperature distribution, giving evidence of a considerably large variation, both in latitudinal and longitudinal respects. Considering the distribution of mean annual isotherms (Fig. 4.1), China may be broadly divided into a western and eastern part, each of them showing a particular temperature pattern.
