The Supra-aortic Area

Abstract

The supra-aortic area is that portion of the left side of the mediastinum situated behind the anterior mediastinum and extending cephalad from the aortic arch to the thoracic inlet. The radiographic anatomy of the area is predicated upon the anatomy of the aorta and its major branches.
