Abstract

Malignant tumors of the nasopharynx have their origin in the mucosa or submucosa of the lateral wall, including the Rosenmüller’s fossa, the roof, or the posterior wall of the nasopharynx [1]. Early clinical signs and symptoms of the nasopharyngeal cancer are atypical. Symptoms of the advanced tumors depend on the pathway of their spread and include unilateral otitis, nasal obstruction, cranial nerve paralysis, and a neck mass [7]. Juvenile angiofibromas are the most common benign tumors of the nasopharynx and occur in young or adolescent male individuals.
