Abstract
A model of glomerular damage with tubular involvement is that induced by puromycin aminonucleoside (PAN). Extensive investigations of PAN nephrotoxicity by scanning and transmission electron microscopy have been performed (Andrews 1975; 1977; Carroll et al 1973), so that morphological events are described in detail. Comprehensive data on the effects on urinary enzymes are still lacking. The excretion of ten different enzymes was investigated in order to draw correlations with the reported ultrastructural alterations.
