Indications for Arthroscopy

Arthroscopy is indicated when clinical and radiologic examinations of the knee joint do not allow definitive diagnosis. This applies just as much to chronic knee pain as to an acute injury. If a displacement within the knee joint is suspected as the cause of symptoms, arthroscopy will provide the most exact information.
