Zusammenfassung
Unter zervikalen Gleichgewichtsstörungen werden solche Gleichgewichtsstörungen verstanden, deren auslösende Ursache im Kopfgelenkbereich gesucht werden muß. Zahlreiche Publikationen lassen erkennen, daß den Propriorezeptoren bei der Entstehung der zervikozephalen Gleichgewichtsstörungen eine große Bedeutung zukommt. Arbeiten von Brodal (1974), ten Bruggencate (1972), Fredrickson (1965), Hikosaka (1973), Ito (1964), Kasper (1981), Thoden (z.B. 1975, 1979), Wilson (1974) und anderen haben durch elektrophysiologische Untersuchungen nicht nur direkte neurale Verbindungen vom Kopfgelenkbereich zu den Vestibulariskerngebieten und weiter zu den Augenmuskelkernen und auch zur Formatio reticularis aufzeigen können, sondern untersuchten auch die Bedeutung der Propriorezeptoren für die Stellreflexe und die Augenbewegungen.
