Abstract
Instability of the knee following rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) has been treated by several methods in the past. This paper describes the experience of several centres in the north of England using the Leeds Keio terylene (polyethylene terephthalate) ligament as an ACL replacement. A series of 50 cases with a follow-up from 1 to 4 years is described.
