A Simple Microwave Argument about the Changes of Structure of Water in Solutions of Macromolecules

The water binding properties of polyvinyl alcohol and 1,4-dioxane have been investigated by us previously (Masszi et al., 1976; Koszorus, Masszi, 1982). It was found that the average wavelength of dielectric relaxation of water is greater in solutions of non-electrolytes than it is in pure water, furthermore the microviscosity of the water is proportional to the relaxation time.
