Abstract
Using the 100-m telescope in Effelsberg a radio continuum survey of an area 170’× 90’ centred on M31 was made at λ6.3 cm (half-power beamwidth (HPBW) = 2!4) in both total power and linear polarization. A preliminary map of the central field is presented in Fig. 1. Details of the observations and the reduction procedures will be published elsewhere.
