Abstract
Cancer of the lip is rare in Europe and deaths from it are even less frequent owing to the good prognosis. In Poland, it is relatively frequent in comparison to other countries, especially in rural populations. This is why we have included this site in the present work, despite the small number of cases (816 in men and 187 in women over 5 years).
