Zusammenfassung
PETN wurde von Vignon und Gerin 1901 synthetisiert und zusammen mit TNT als Sprengstoff genutzt [31]. Für die therapeutische Anwendung als Nitrokörper wird es mit Lactose verrieben, so daß gefahrvolle Explosionen vermieden wurden. PETN wurde in den 50er und 60er Jahren in den skandinavischen Ländern, in Frankreich und in den USA genutzt. Aus den USA und aus England kommen auch die ersten verläßlichen Ergebnisse mit diesem „Langzeit“-Nitrat [14]. In der ehemaligen DDR wurde PETN* in den 60er Jahren eingeführt und war bis 1989 das einzige Nitropräparat zur Behandlung von Angina pectoris-Beschwerden bei der koronaren Herzkrankheit sowie bei der Herzinsuffizienz, wenn man von GTN für die Behandlung des akuten Angina pectoris-Anfall absieht.
