Summary
Epidural spinal cord stimulation is a useful alternative treatment in cases with advanced arterial occlusive disease of the lower limbs, when operation is not indicated and medication fails to help. Beside an improvement of peripheral circulation, this therapy reduces pain, so that quality of life is improved. Indication, method, and results are discussed in comparison with the relevant literature.
