Summary
One-hundred-twenty-one patients with multilevel, lower extremity arterial occlusive disease underwent revascularization of the deep femoral artery. Early and late results are listed according to the preoperative grade of ischemia. The life-table success for all procedures was 78% at 5 years. The postoperative survival-rate was 72% at 5 years. During the observation period, eight femoro-distal bypasses (9.3%) and five amputations (5.8%) became necessary.
