Zusammenfassung

Die obere gastrointestinale Blutung wird ätiologisch von den klassischen Blutungsursachen des Magens und des proximalen Duodenums bestimmt. In seltenen Fällen fulminanter Blutungsepisoden, die eine sofortige therapeutische Intervention in Form der Operation erforderlich machen, erweist erst der Operationsbefund die unerwartete Blutungsursache: die aortointestinale und zumeist duodenale Fistel.
