Zusammenfassung

Es ist stets ein Anliegen von Ursula M. Lehr gewesen, sieh gegen unzutreffende, verzerrte und einseitige Sichtweisen über das Alter und alte Menschen zu wenden. Ihr besonderes Verdienst ist es, zur Korrektur und Überwindung stereotyper Altersbilder entscheidend beigetragen zu haben. Gegen Klischees vom Altersabbau und zunehmender Inkompetenz setzt sie konsequent und abgestützt durch eigene Forschungsergebnisse ein differenziertes Bild der Verhaltensmöglichkeiten im Alter.
