Prevention of Thrombosis in Percutaneous Coronary Angioplasty

Abstract

Successful angioplasty includes prevention of thrombosis at the site of dilatation. The pathophysiology of thrombus formation after angioplasty resembles the process at the site of an advanced arteriosclerotic plaque.
