Zusammenfassung
Die aktuellen, weltweit zu beobachtenden Entwicklungen neuartiger Organisationsund Unternehmensformen sind durch eine vielfältige Überlagerung von Strömungen wie Internationalisierung und Globalisierung von Unternehmungen, Dezentralisierung und Verflachung von Organisationsstrukturen oder zunehmende Bildung von Kooperationsformen in “virtuellen” Organisationen geprägt — um nur einige der signifikantesten unter den derzeitigen Trends anzuführen.
Der Autor war von März 1967 bis Juli 1971 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter bei Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Herbert Hax an der Universität des Saarlandes in Saarbrücken. Heute ist er Professor für Wirtschaftsinformatik am Fachbereich Wirtschaftswissenschaften und gleichzeitig Leiter des Groupware Competence Centers an der Universität Paderborn, das den fachlichen Hintergrund für diesen Beitrag liefert.
