Dubreuilh’s Melanosis

Abstract

This condition is also known by the name of senile lentigo, circumscribed precancerous melanosis, melanotic freckle (Hutchinson), lentigo maligna, etc. Dubreuilh’s circumscribed, precancerous melanosis is a noncongenital naevoid patch appearing after middle life and particularly affecting the face, more rarely the hands and legs. The importance of its study relates to its frequency and the major risk of transformation into malignant melanoma.
