Abstract
The modern theory of IB in allowed transitions was developed by GLAUBER and MARTIN [1,2]. This theory, approximately valid also for the 1-forbidden nonunique transitions, was verified in several experiments [3]. ZON and RAPOPORT [4] extended the theory to transitions of higher-order of forbidenness. The validity of this formalism is still a question because of the lack of experimental data.
