Abstract

Paleohydrogeology is one of the branches of historical geology, dealing with ancient hydrogeological environment and its evolution in the course of geological time. Ground water is an invariable constituent of crustal rocks, participating in various geological processes, including the formation of many types of ore deposits. Therefore, paleohydrogeological studies should be a part of metallogenic research.
