Effects of Thiazides on Lipid Metabolism

Abstract

Mild and moderate hypertension are associated with an increased risk of stroke and myocardial infarction. Antihypertensive drug treatment prevents or delays a stroke, but the effect on coronary heart disease (CHD) is disappointing [1–4].
