Zusammenfassung
Typische Veränderungen der Herzkranzgefäße in Form von Stenosen oder Okklusionen sind charakteristische Zeichen für die koronare Herzkrankheit. Erst wenn die Stenosierung eine Lumeneinengung von mehr als 60–70% erreicht hat, kommt es zu typischen Beschwerden, die als Angina pectoris bezeichnet werden. Das bedeutet, daß zum Zeitpunkt des Auftretens klinischer Symptome bereits eine oder mehrere höhergradige Stenosierungen des Gefäßsystems vorliegen, die jederzeit zu einem Infarkt, d. h. zum vollständigen Verschluß führen können.
