The Alkaloids of Zizyphus sativa

From the bark of Zizyphus sativa Gaertn seven previously undescribed cyclopeptide alkaloids have been isolated. The structures of these new compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic methods applied to the alkaloids and the some of their transformation products, and by chemical degradation reactions.
