Uterine Tube

  • Werner Lierse

The paired uterine tubes are derived from the upper ends of the Müllerian ducts. They act as conduits by which ova released from the ovary are transported to the uterus. Each uterine tube extends from its pelvic opening (the abdominal orifice) to the uterine opening (the uterine orifice).
