Endoscopic Lateral Cordopexy

  • C. Naumann

In endoscopic lateral cordopexy of a paralyzed vocal cord a mucosa-muscle flap is formed by an incision at the level of the equilateral vestibular fold. The resulting small cavity allows parts of the arytenoid cartilage and of the vocal muscle to be removed. The mucosa-muscle flap is fixed firmly to the lateral part of the cavity by tissue adhesive and the mucosal incision on the vestibular fold is sealed by tissue adhesive, too.
