Part of the book series: Advances in Anatomy Embryology and Cell Biology ((ADVSANAT,volume 99))

Abstract

This investigation is concerned with the ultracytochemistry of glycoconjugates — i.e., the carbohydrate moieties of glycoproteins and glycolipids — attached to intracellular post-Golgi membranes (membranes of lysosomes, peroxisomes, secretory granules of exocrine and endocrine gland cells). In addition mitochondria have been studied.
