Isoflurane and Myocardial Ischemia

Abstract

A large body of reports of animal experiments demonstrate that isoflurane is a coronary vasodilator which interferes with autoregulation. Its potency appears to be considerably greater than that of halothane or enflurane, but less than that of adenosine (Fig.1) [1–7].
