Abstract
An increase in serum lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) levels has been shown to be a good monitor of rejection in kidney and heart transplantation (Anderson et al. 1975; Rottembourg et al. 1977). The aim of this study was to evaluate the significance of the changes in serum LDH levels following small-bowel transplantation in the pig.
