Abstract

History. The aneurysmal bone cyst (ABC) was first described under its present name in 1942, and its first occurrence in the jaw region was observed in 1958 (Jaffé and Lichtenstein 1942; Bernier and Bhaskar 1958). To date, more than 50 cases of aneurysmal bone cysts of the facial skeleton have been published (v. Kameke 1983).
