Abstract
Sermion (nicergoline) has hitherto been used in a few clinical trials. These were short-term or long-term double-blind studies in which the test preparation was given orally or intramuscularly and the results, assessed by psychometric procedures and quantitative EEG examinations, were compared with those obtained with placebos. Nicergoline was shown to increase vigilance [4], and to bring about changes in performance [3] and in the subjective condition [8, 18].
