Impaired Bone Strength and Fracture Patterns at Different Skeletal Sites

  • Conference paper
Current Concepts of Bone Fragility

Abstract

Disease patterns are not only clinically useful for identification of high-risk patients, but are often of greater value as clues to important etiologic factors. The epidemiologic patterns of disease are of most interest here, raising the question of fracture patterns at different skeletal sites Furthermore, what hypotheses can one establish as to the causes of age-related fractures?
