Anesthetic Technique for Spinal Cord Monitoring

We have evaluated an anesthetic plan using a combination of nitrous oxide, Fentanyl and relaxants, with respect to its influence on per-operatively recorded somatosensory evoked potentials. Although this combination is suitable for cases involving SCM, an improved percentage of acceptable records might be obtained with some other agents and by improvement of electrophysiological techniques.
