Abstract
As theoretical and observational studies of precipitation chemistry continue to expand, so does our understanding of the relevant facts governing this phenomenon. This paper addresses our current understanding of key processes involved in acid deposition as they bear upon the development of an acid rain control strategy. Possible strategies and the impact of these courses of action are also discussed.
