Mineralocorticoid Regulation of Lower Intestinal Ion Transport

  • Conference paper
Transport Processes, Iono- and Osmoregulation

Part of the book series: Proceedings in Life Sciences ((LIFE SCIENCES))

Abstract

Ion transport across lower intestinal epithelia has been studied most frequently on two mammals: rat and rabbit, and effects of adrenocortical steroids on the sodium transport have predominantly been reported in these two species.
