Treatment of Primary Biliary Cirrhosis with Ciclosporin (CyA): Pilot Study
Primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) is accompanied by disturbances of the immune system . Thus, although it is unclear whether these disturbances have any significance in the aetiopathogenesis of PBC, many immunomodulatory drugs have been used to treat PBC . Administration of corticosteroids has been associated with improvement of liver function tests but there has been no controlled trial of their efficacy.
