Abstract

Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a humorally mediated autoimmune disease. Circulating autoantibodies (ab) against the postsynaptic acetylcholine receptor (ACHR) are responsible for the postsynaptic transmission failure which is the cause of the abnormal weakness and fatigability of the skeletal muscles in myasthenics [16].
