Die Konfrontation mit mannigfachen, pathogenetisch unterschiedlichen Störungen pulmonaler Funktionen hat dazu geführt, besonderes Augenmerk auf Entwicklung und Anwendung der den jeweiligen Atemstörungen und deren individuellen Verläufen angepaßten Ventilationsverfahren zu lenken.
