Zusammenfassung

Die Rolle der lineal vermittelten Reaktion des Immunsystems für die Entwicklung maligner Tumoren ist bis heute völlig ungeklärt. Schon seit langem wird vermutet, daß das Organ, dem bei der Infektionsabwehr eine Schlüsselrolle zukommt, auch in der Bekämpfung von Tumoren für den Gesamtorganismus unentbehrlich ist; ein tierexperimenteller oder klinischer Beweis steht jedoch bis heute noch aus.
