Abstract
The main stimulus to acne is the over production of sebum [8, 30] but for the development of individual lesions, other events are necessary. These include hyperkeratosis of the sebaceous follicular duct [21, 36], some change in microbial ecology [16, 24, 26] and the production of inflammation [10, 14, 41].
