Abstract

Prader (1954) has divided the degrees of malformation of intersexual genitalia into five grades ranging from the purely female type to the purely male type. Intersexual genitals can vary greatly in their anatomy, and in extreme cases the external morphology may be the opposite of the patient’s chromosomal sex (Fig. 1).
