Abstract

Durch ingenieurmässige Anwendung von Konstruktionsmethoden wie dem Entity-Relationship-Model und Petri-Netze einerseits, sowie durch integrierende Benutzung flexibler Betriebssysteme, homogener Rechnerverbundsysteme und Programmiersprachen der vierten Generation andererseits ist es heute möglich, bestimmte Typen verteilter Datenbanksysteme mit Synchronisation und Recovery wirtschaftlich zu realisieren.

The use of well-structured modelling methologies like the Entity-Relationship Model and Petri-Nets together with the integration of operating systems, homogen computer-networks and fourth generation programming languages, allow us today to create a limited synchronized distributed data-base with recovery in a cost effective way.
