Abstract

Only someone who is perfectly aware that he does not know enough about the matter could include such differing terms as “potentially curable”, “minimal”, “occult” and “early cancer” in the same title. For, in the last resort, these terms have not yet been defined, and I cannot imagine how they could be defined with any accuracy within the next 10 years. Gynecologists have gained experience with cancer of the cervix. Although, here, the conditions are considerably more favorable, we must still expect to encounter great problems of communication even in this area.
