Abstract
Unilateral neglect (UN) has become one of the major topics of modern behavioral neurology. The reason for this is evident: investigation of UN may provide substantial understanding of the mechanisms involved in spatial behavior of complex organisms. In particular, UN challenges current concepts of attention, representation, awareness, and control, insofar as these concepts relate to spatial behavior.
