The Promotion of Health Through Changes in Life-style: Epidemiological, Psychosocial and Ethical Aspects
Those persons responsible for health education have for several years been reorientating their efforts towards a more global, and probably in some respects more promising approach, i.e. changes in life-style. This concept has followed a certain disillusionment about the efficiency of trying to modify behavioural traits considered or demonstrated to involve risks to health. But the extent of this new orientation moves us to critically investigate its advantages and the risks it might involve. This criticism is meant to be constructive.
