Abstract
Urinary tract infection (UTI) is a common disease of childhood, and the related renal injury may in some patients lead to consequences until adulthood. To improve prognosis it is essential to establish a reliable diagnosis of the very first infection in a child and to detect patients disposed to renal injury at an early stage.
