Zusammenfassung

Auf Streßulzera wurde man mit der Beschreibung von Duodenalulzera bei Erkrankungen des ZNS (Cushing-Geschwüre) und bei Patienten mit ausgedehnten Verbrennungen (Curling-Geschwüre) aufmerksam. Ihr Auftreten hat allerdings mehrere Ursachen; dazu gehören neben Erkrankungen des ZNS und Verbrennungen auch die Sepsis aus verschiedenen Ursachen und mit unterschiedlichem Ausmaß, ein Hypotonus, das Herz-, Leber- oder Nierenversagen, die Lungeninsuffizienz und die Gabe von Kortikosteroiden. Streßulzera treten in der Regel multipel auf und sind von diffuser und oberflächlicher Beschaffenheit.
